With the onset of Covid-19 he moved back to the laboratory sector where he managed a team at a molecular laboratory. He worked to validate and test Covid-19 assays and it's variants, establishing over nine LDT's. Through multiple CAP and CLIA inspections, his love for GLP was rekindled. Working with Chris Bigley and Bill Rader, they formed the Laboratory Development Team, LLC to bring their knowledge to market and help others grow.
